We have had a long successful relationship with the Dutra family for almost 17 years.  It all began with Jesse during the renovation of our home on Dukes Road.  His expertise and work ethic created a comfortable experience during the whole process.  As a result, we hired him, and his sister Emily, to create the gardens at our Post Office building in Sconset.  We would receive many compliments over the next several years.  Emily, now Dutra Designs, has been most enjoyable to work with.  Her expertise and knowledge is outstanding.  She has continued to help us in several rental properties and now will be taking over our newest property at 1 Sesapana Road.  Emily is a joy to work with and always responds to our inquiries promptly.  We have, and will continue to recommend her to our friends and clients.

annye's whole foods nantucketEmily and her well-trained crew helped us create a beautiful, colorful herb and shrubbery garden in our front yard. Emily selected just the right herbs and small trees, after careful research, and the garden was planted  meticulously. They created a ‘scape that moved with the breezes, thrived throughout the summer and fall, providing us hundreds of bunches of organic herbs!  AND they always do a great job of preparing everything for their winter’s nap!

I have worked  together with Emily for 5 years. Dutra Designs has done all my hardscapes, plantings, seasonal window boxes and maintenance. Emily is always very thoughtful with her plant selection for every part of the garden, from backyard shade garden to kitchen herb garden, to the perfect shrub for that difficult spot. The crew is wonderful with their care and attention to detail.
